Trip to Italy

Some days ago I spent almost one week in Italy, between Bologna and Milan. It is nice to live abroad, especially in this depressing time for my country, but I like some time to come back, feel a familiar atmosphere, eat proper Italian food and, of course, meet some people I care.

In Bologna I have been hosted by my brother, who lives and studies there. We had a nice time together: had some really good meals, went to watch a funny movie, listened to some jazz in a nice jazz canteen and had a long walk up to the Madonna di San Luca Sanctuary, at the top of Bologna.

In Milan I have been hosted by my aunt and had the chance to meet three of my closest friends from my undergraduate years: Sandro, Matteo and Laura. With Sandro we had a kind of amarcord, as we went to watch a football match (Inter – Reggina) as we were used to in the past years: lots of memories and emotions went through my mind when I was at the stadium and when I was around Milan, seeing many familiar places. I think that, if in the future I will live again in Italy, Milan is the place where I would like to be.

Finally, in Milan I had also the chance to interview for my research Ivan Scalfarotto, a blogger (link) and member of the PD party, who started his political activity while he was working in London. Ivan has been very kind and our meeting has been useful to my research.

Now I am back in Brighton, quite busy with work and studies. I will keep you updated.

World of emotions

and represent their feelings, everyday…

The world of emotions is inside ourselves
art touches our hearts, made us sensitive…
Talking and looking straight in the eye
