If you open the Google website today, you can notice on the header that the second “o” of the word Google has the shape a bearded man holding an old telephone. That is Alexander Graham Bell, and Google celebrates him on his day of birth as the inventor of the telephone. But many people have protested with Google for this choice. In fact, though for years it was believed worldwide that A.G. Bell invented the telephone, the story was a bit different, and after a long controversy, finally in the year 2002 the US Congress recognized that the real inventor was the Italian Antonio Meucci.
